As Vegeta calmly stands by, Nappa displays his great strength by swiftly defeating a number of Earth's greatest fighters. Possessing more brawn than brain, a fact that is evident in battle, he nonetheless does away with Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Tien and even the mighty Piccolo. When his brute force is simply not enough, Nappa solicits the help of the artificial plant warriors known as the Saibamen. Nappa is ultimately defeated by Goku, which disappoints Vegeta to such a great extent that he destroys Nappa on the spot.
